Episode 9
Stress is a normal part of our physiology, but prolonged or unnecessary stress can become an injury to your system. It can take you out of a healthy state and cause your body to change the way it operates to accommodate long periods of flight or flight hormones. In this episode, Dr. Carolyn Dolan talks about how stress affects the permeability of the gut lining, how we can effectively recover from stress in the gut, and how your mind and thought-processes play a role.
